The Bells of St Clement's are now open from 2pm to 4pm every weekday afternoon.  This unique visitor attraction gives you the chance to discover how we ring our bells and to try it for yourself.  Why not come in and see what we have to offer?  St Clement's church is in Bridge Street, in the heart of Cambridge's historic city centre.  We show visitors how bells are rung in English churches, explain the mysteries of Campanology, and provide the opportunity to have a go and learn all the necessary skills.

They are not the bells in the Oranges and Lemons nursery rhyme, but a brand new ring that has just been installed in one of Cambridge's oldest churches.  As well as demonstrations and have-a-go sessions, we provide bell ringing lessons booked in advance (by email) for those at all stages of learning to ring.

Once learnt, these skills can be practised in thousands of churches around England, with many more in Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and around the World.  Most of these churches need more bell-ringers to join their band, and one of the joys of being a bell-ringer is being able to turn up without needing an invitation at almost any practice night or Sunday service ringing and being welcomed to take part.  Bell-ringing is inclusive and suitable for all ages, and there are plenty of opportunities for socialising too.

During early 2023 we helped train ringers for the 'Ring for the King' initiative, to enable all towers to ring for the King's coronation on May 6th. We continue to train new ringers, and here is how they start to learn.
